Here’s a sample day itinerary to get you started on your own winter adventure in Red Lodge!

Start your day with breakfast at Marli’s. This beloved local diner serves up classic American fare all morning long, making it a great spot to fuel up before hitting the slopes. From bacon and eggs to pancakes and waffles, Marli’s will make sure you have plenty of energy for a full day of recreational fun. Plus, their selection of homemade donuts is a sweet way to end your meal!

Once you’ve filled your belly, head over to Red Lodge Mountain, where you can explore more than 1,600 skiable acres across multiple terrains. With terrain ranging from beginner-friendly groomers to double black diamond steeps, there’s something for all levels of skiers and riders here. Take a lesson if you're new to the sport, or have a fun day enjoying the diverse trails and beautiful scenery.

Take a break for lunch on the mountain at one of the resort's many dining options. If you choose either the Beirstube or Midway Lodge, try a local beer from Red Lodge's very own brewery, Red Lodge Ales, you definitely won't regret it.

Once your legs are tired and you're ready for a change of pace, head back to town to enjoy a stroll through the historic downtown. There's a variety of shops, so you can find just about anything, from clothes, local products, kitchen tools, outdoor gear, and so much more.

Oh, and don't forget to make a visit to the Candy Emporium to stock up on all the classics from jawbreakers, taffy, and homemade fudge.

After a long day on the mountain, it's time for a well-deserved margarita and dinner at Bogart's – one of Red Lodge's most popular restaurants with a lively atmosphere serving delicious Mexican-inspired dishes made with fresh ingredients. Not sure what to order? Here's a pro tip - try the coconut margarita, it's the drink of choice among locals. You won't be disappointed!

After dinner, wind down by unwinding in the saunas at The Pollard Hotel – an iconic hotel located near downtown Red Lodge that has been around since 1893! The hotel has two cedar saunas so you can relax after a long day exploring the mountains.

Red Lodge is one of Montana's premier winter destinations - offering something for everyone from outdoor enthusiasts to those looking for more leisurely outings like dining or spa treatments. Make sure to take advantage of all this mountain town has to offer during your stay here!
